About

Our Story

We started out in a 1976 Minnie Winnie, selling coffee out of the back of a good old rec vehicle that was retrofit for our needs. It had a storefront, heat, cash register, great coffee, oh and wheels. Our mobile coffee truck was known as Off The Grid, On The Grind and ran successfully for about a year, but why stop there? That’s when we decided to try our venture indoors.

Welcome to what is now known as The Grind Cafe!

Being coffee lovers and wanting to provide the most amazing coffees to our loyals fans, it only made sense to expand our original big idea and roast our own coffees, in-house.

We travelled to Costa Rica where we learned how to roast the best coffee and brought those roasting techniques back to Vermont.  Rather than be selfish and keep this great grind to ourselves, we’re sharing it with all of you and selling it online now!

You can order our coffees right here!

Eddie

Roast Master

Eddie’s desire to create drove his desire to start roasting. Having the ability to create a great tasting roast that can only be made great by using the perfect portion, at the right grind, brewed at the right temperature, for the right individuals.

In His Free Time – He likes to hang out with family, practicing Jeet Kune Do with friends, or just watching some Netflix. At home his favorite way to brew is by making himself a French press of some medium roast Costa Rican coffee.

Favorite Drink – Double Espresso in the morning and Nitro Cold Brew in the afternoon.

Larissa

marketing director

After starting her full time job with the Vermont Army National Guard she wanted Eddie to be able to do something he was passionate about and loved doing. Knowing that was going to be coffee-related she suggested they open they’re own place. Larissa felt that if you’re going to have to work, then you should love what you do.

In Her Free Time – She enjoys planning family trips to new places with the kids to learn and explore.

Favorite Drink – Caramel Hot Chocolate, I love to eat the added caramel and chocolate off the top of the whipped cream.

Skylar

House Barista ExtraordinaIre

Skylar enjoys constantly criticizing the entertainment industry. He loves media in all forms and varied methods of storytelling. He loves making Iced Maple Macchiatos because of the layered effect with the espresso and milk – go ahead ask him to make you one!
